Center for Pop’s Discovery Caravan

The Center for Pop Music Inc. held a “Discovery Caravan” last July 30, 2008 at the Conrado Benitez Hall around 1:00 pm headed by the Sophomore Class Organization with the help of the Dept. of Student Affairs (DSA) lead by Dr. Maligalig and Prof. Jaime Molano.
The aim of the said activity is to discover and develop talents with the help of the Center for Pop voice coaches, Ms Agnes Lunar and Ms. Kai Patron who acted as the judges also.All the participants will receive a gift cheque worth one thousand pesos used as discount whenever they want to enroll to the said training school. And the winner will receive a full scholarship and will have the opportunity to be the next singing star.
Their were 40 hopefuls (2 of them are from highschool dept.), but the person who won the free sessions for the training school is Laura Jean Gilbentez. A 1st yr student from SC1-13, taking up BSN.
In behalf of the University, Dr. Maligalig also received a token of appreciation from the Center for Pop Music Inc. headed by the president named Mr. Butch Albarracin as they celebrate their 20 years in the business.
